India Launched Artificial Intelligence (AI) Website to Promote AI Developments

The government of India on 30th May has launched the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) website (www.ai.gov.in). The AI website is jointly developed by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and backed from the National e-Governance Division of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (https://meity.gov.in/).

The portal is devoted to working as a “One Stop Digital Platform" for all AI cognate developments in India. According to sources, the team is withal working on investor pitch events in the future and looking to make data sources available through the portal. The regime wants the portal to be a “one-stop digital platform" for all AI cognate developments in the country.

National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Portal:

The portal is betokened to provide information on the entire AI ecosystem comprising start-up’s, investment mazuma, companies, and edifying institutions. This will be achieved with research work, editorial content such as news, interviews, and events. This will accommodate an AI-focused platform for accessing AI resources. The website has sections on news, articles, ecosystem, resources, skills & jobs, sectors, and initiatives. There are withal subsections on case studies, research reports, videos, and datasets for AI professionals.

According to Ravi Shankar Prasad (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) “India must be a leading country in the development of Artificial Astuteness in the world, leveraging upon its prodigious Internet-savvy population and data it is engendering. India’s AI approach should be of inclusion and potentiation of the human being by supplementing magnification and development rather than making human beings less germane.”

The focus is on democratising artificial perspicacity for everyone. MoS for E&IT, Communications, and HRD, Sanjay Dhotre, while verbalizing about the AI web portal verbalized that the role of artificial astuteness in the COVID-stricken world is immense, and AI can play a vital role during the arduous times. He further integrated that digital innovation such as AI had been great equalizers for Indian denizens despite several challenges.

The website, according to NASSCOM, is the convergence point for students, AI experts, companies, entrepreneurs, and the regime for nationwide sourcing and sharing of best AI conceptions. The portal will reinforce the puissance of the AI to give ascend to jobs at state-level and the role of start-ups in utilizing data-driven innovation, among relaxed compliance procedures and regulatory bottlenecks.
